In beautiful surroundings in Ognedalen in Bjerkreim Eikeland Gard is located. The property consists of a large holiday house with good fishing possibilities as well as hiking alternatives.

Great base if you are going to Pulpit Rock, or mighty Kjerag.

Driving through Gloppedalsura into Byrkjedalstunet and as a great trip to Månafossen.

We can altso recommend Brufjellholene between Sokndal and Flekkefjord.

Close to amusement park Kongeparken. Within an hour’s drive comes to the beaches of Jæren, Bryne, Sandnes, Stavanger, Egersund, or Flekkefjord.

The previous farm house was completely renovated in 2012 and has six bedrooms with 14  beds in total. There is a large garden with barbecue and now a new barbecue house.

New appartment in the basement in 2018 with two bedroms for 4 people. Kitchen/living room and bathroom with toilet/shower and washing machine. Own entrance and parking.

 

The house is 100 metres away from the river Ognaelva where you can fish trout and salmon, especially from the middle of the season.

300 meters from the house in Rognvatnet we have make a private beach. Her we have bost and kanos that you can rent. We altso have SUP for rent.

There are also four fishing lakes with good trout possibilities. They are from 300 metres to two kilometres away from the house. Included in the rental of the house are two fishing licences for the river. And the people renting the house are allowed to fish for free in the lakes with a fishing rod. If you rent the appartment you can fish free for trouts in the lakes. The river licencens follow the house. This is in agreement with Eikeland Gard. The salmon season lasts from 01.  June to 10. September.

Lovely hiking possibilities in beautiful nature are available for you in the surroundings of the house.

Eikeand Gard is furthermore an active farm that runs sheep as well as dairy production.

On the west side of Eikeland Gard is Bjerkreim Windfarm. Here are many great roads to hike or use bikes from and cycle through the wind farm and get over to Jæren with its fine beaches and flat landscapes. You can also ask us for a tour in the wind farm.

On Eikeland Gard you can pick eggs of hens, drinking milk straight from the tank. Snuggle with calves or if you are lucky to experience birth in cows or sheep. The sheep will lamb in April, when there is a vibrant life on the farm.

Very well suited as a holiday house, accommodation in job travelor,  teambuilding, company trip, a trip with friends or family,  or a meeting venue.

Eikeland Gard is located 7 km from Bjerkreim River, 23 km from Egersund and 60 km from Stavanger.
